How to reach:
By Airways: You can get flights from Europe and the United States of America. Punta Cana International Airport is the busiest airport in this region. Many European and Canadian cities operate seasonal charter flights.
By Road: Haiti is the only border shared by the Dominican Republic. The border between Dajabón and Ouanaminthe, Elias Pina, Jimani and another between Pedernales and Anse-à-Pitres are the four border crossings which exist. The crossings can be open 08:00-18:00 and reached by car.
By Boat: You can get a ferry that travels between Mayagüez in Puerto Rico and San Juan in the Dominican Republic. It takes 12 hours to reach the destination.
The ferries leave Puerto Rico on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 20:00, and arrive the next morning at 08:00.
